Being a mule doesn’t seem so bad.

Maine is honestly like another country.  Imagine sitting on a long train ride from France to the south, say Aix.  Along the way you zoom past towns nestled on the banks of rivers, almost hidden by the trees.  Maine is much the same, often over-looked but always along the way.

The east coast makes itself known not in a sense of prepiness, rude behavior, or extremely wealthy people, but in more historical aspects that make you feel a little bit closer to colonial times.  The New England vibe has a style of its own that far surpasses the negative stereotypes that the west coast tends to give.

And Colby?

Its such a concentration of kind-hearted people.  I seen so many different faces, forgot so many names, smiled so many times…They say the first week is the worst.  If this is the worst, next week will probably be amazing.

P.S.

Orientation had an oxygen bar, laser tag in an inflatable bubble, poker, and gelato.  And my roommates are pretty tight.  AND…two running buddies!  Booyahhh.
